As part of the art gallery of the Sixth Workshop “A-Class Houses” at ARCH Moscow 2026, Okna Mira, in collaboration with the PALATY Gallery of Contemporary Art, is presenting a new art object by artist Maria Pukhova, “Image.”
The project becomes a point of intersection between architecture, engineering, and contemporary art. It develops the theme of the Workshop “A-Class Houses” and enters into dialogue with the exhibition theme “IDEAL,” exploring it through a personal, fluid, and subjective perception of form.
“Image” is a nearly invisible glass frame enclosing something that doesn’t exist. The ideal in this work isn’t fixed, but rather disintegrates into a multitude of individual representations. Each viewer creates their own image, impossible to pin down or define definitively.
Maria Pukhova’s artistic concept combines the natural fluidity of the material with the engineering precision of Okna Mira. The sculpture is crafted from borosilicate glass using a flying torch technique, where fragility and inherent stability coexist within a single object.
For Okna Mira, participating in the project with the PALATY gallery is a continuation of its research interest in glass as a medium that shapes space, light, and the perception of architecture. This partnership extends beyond a single collaboration and creates a sustainable field of interaction between art and architectural practice.
“Glass is a material that simultaneously divides and connects spaces. In ‘Image,’ it becomes a metaphor for how we perceive the ideal: it’s always elusive, changing, existing only in our gaze. It’s especially significant that this project was created in collaboration with ‘Windows of the World,’ a company that professionally works with space, light, and the architectural environment,” notes Yulia Loboyko, founder of the PALATY gallery.
“We’ve been working with glass in architecture for many years and see it as much more than just a functional material. We’re interested in how glass influences the perception of space, light, and the quality of life itself. Therefore, collaborating with Maria Pukhova and the PALATY gallery is a natural extension of this vision for us,” comments Ivan Kolotygin, co-founder of Okna Mira and the A-Class Houses community.
The project will premiere at ARCH Moscow 2026. The collaboration between Windows of the World, the PALATA gallery, and Maria Pukhova will continue to develop through new projects, solo exhibitions, and cultural initiatives at the intersection of contemporary art and architecture.
