Take a step towards reflection…
Discussing the topic of well-being architecture, its components and the role of windows in it, we plunged into understanding and “reflection” of ourselves. We build houses with the desire to be closer to nature and to be alone with ourselves, we look through the windows, we contemplate listening to our thoughts and hearing ourselves.
In the Okna Mira team’s new project “Reflection”, together with architects, designers and partners, we explore the deep connection between individuality and architecture in a series of video self-portraits called “Me Today”. Each self-portrait is a mirror reflecting the protagonist’s current state, his/her personality and recording his/her sense of self in the moment. This project offers each participant the opportunity to engage in a private dialog with the camera, turning it into a creative experiment and personal narrative.
Through people’s expressions, we aim to capture the essence of the present, to capture a moment in time. Our goal is to slow down the relentless pace of life, drawing the gaze of each viewer and participant to their personal “reflection” from which all ideas of the future are built.
